Know before you spend a rupee

Send the name on WhatsApp. We check it against the Registry and come back with a straight go or no-go.

  • Is the name clear, or already taken
  • The right class for your business
  • What to change if there is risk
  • Your full cost, in writing

If the name is weak, we will say so.

What the same filing costs elsewhere

Professional fees only. Every provider adds the same ₹4,500 government fee on top, so this is the part actually worth comparing.

Search + file

₹1,299 + govt fee
₹1,800 less than IndiaFilings

We search the Registry first, so ₹4,500 of government fee is not spent on a name that could never clear.

  • Full Registry & phonetic search

Search, file + objection reply

₹2,299 + govt fee
Objection reply worth ₹1,999 included

Covers the written reply if the Registry objects. The stage that usually turns into a surprise invoice.

  • Everything in Search + file
  • Examination reply drafted & filed
  • Cost fixed whatever happens
Why that third package exists

Around 45% of Indian applications receive an examination objection. It is routine. It is not a rejection. But most services quote the reply separately at ₹2,000–4,000 once you are already committed. You can settle it now for ₹1,000 instead.

Two things worth knowing before you file anywhere

The ® symbol is not yours on day one

After filing you may use ™ immediately. ® becomes lawful only once the certificate is issued. Using it earlier is an offence under the Trade Marks Act. Several large filing sites currently state the opposite on their own pages.

Class rules changed on 1 January 2026

The Nice Classification moved to its 13th edition and reshuffled where some goods and services sit. Filing against last year’s class list is one of the easiest ways to collect an avoidable objection.

4
Examination

The Registry accepts the mark or raises an objection. Either way we explain it in plain language.

5
Journal publication

Published for four months so anyone may oppose. Most marks pass quietly.

6
Certificate issued

Protected for ten years and renewable. ® may now be used.

These are the Registry’s timelines, not ours. Anyone who promises a certificate by a fixed date is guessing.

Questions people ask before paying

Why are you cheaper than the big portals?

There is no call centre here, no sales team, and no advertising budget buried in your invoice. You deal directly with the person who files your application. We would rather file more applications at a fair fee than fewer at an inflated one.

Is the government fee really extra?

Yes, and that applies to every provider in India. It is set by the Trade Marks Rules and paid to the Registry, not to us, and we do not mark it up. ₹4,500 per class for individuals, DPIIT startups and MSMEs; ₹9,000 for other companies.

What if my name is already taken?

We tell you during the free check, before any payment. Often a logo composite mark or a modified wordmark still secures protection. We will say which, and whether it is worth doing.

Can you guarantee registration?

No. Nobody can, whatever they tell you. The Registrar decides. What we control is a proper search beforehand and a competent reply if an objection comes.

How many classes do I need?

Usually just one. Every extra class means another full government fee, so we will not recommend a second unless your goods or services genuinely fall outside the first.

Who actually handles my file?

A Government Registered Trade Mark Agent. Besides an advocate, the only category of person permitted to file on your behalf. You will have their direct WhatsApp number.

Free name check

Tell us the name you have in mind

We check it against the Registry and reply the same day or the next. Nothing to pay, nothing to sign.

You speak to the agent who files it, not to a sales desk.

Invorn is a trademark filing and consultancy service. We are not a law firm, and registration cannot be guaranteed by anyone. That decision belongs to the Trade Marks Registry, Government of India. Government fees go to the Registry at actuals, and once an application is filed they are not refundable. Competitor pricing shown is as publicly advertised and may change.
